The Artisan Shop at Allied Arts Guild
2019 Holiday Hours:
December 23 through January 4th 12:00 to 3:00 pm
11:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Closed Sundays & National Holidays.
We are a shop of retail, artisan consignment, and vintage gifts. We opened our doors as the Traditional Shop in the 1950’s and are operated by the Allied Arts Guild Auxiliary for Children volunteers, providing support for children through the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health at Stanford.
Through consignment we promote the art of the handmade from inlaid-wood rolling pins, hand knits, jewelry, to hand-blown glass pieces. Our vintage collectibles, silver, crystal, fine china and other one-of-a-kind items are donated to us by our community. Please call the shop to see when we are collecting donations and stop by often as new items arrive weekly.
Retail brings us a wide variety of gifts for everyone: children, teens, men, women, grandparents, graduates, birthday and wedding celebrants. We have socks, scarves, gloves, wraps, purses, wallets, manicure kits, napkins, trays, room diffusers, greeting cards, cutting boards, ornaments, curio boxes, puzzles, books, and much more.
The shop-sponsored Christmas Market is the first Saturday in September from 10-4. There are treats, drawings for prizes, outside crafters (including Palo Alto Auxiliary and Children’s Health Council), a mini tree auction, Santa, and carolers.
We invite our community to volunteer with us by becoming members of the Allied Arts Guild Auxiliary for Children. With enough volunteers, our requested volunteer hours stay flexible and minimal. Making friends is a priority, we are kept up-to-date by speakers from hospital staff, and there are a great variety of tasks to which to put your time and talents.
